Schools in Maricopa County have been in session for over a month now, and with fall break on the horizon, how many more holidays are there for the rest of the year?
Most Valley school districts will have differing fall, Thanksgiving, winter and spring break schedules.
In Arizona, schools are required to be closed on Veterans Day, MLK Jr.
Day and Presidents' Day if they take place within the school week. This year, those dates fall on Nov. 11, Jan. 20 and Feb. 17, respectively, so all Maricopa County students can look forward to having those days off. Many schools also schedule extra days off throughout the school year.
Some schools also pre-schedule parent/teacher conference days, in which students may have early releases or extra days off.
