This special day was established in 2007 by Tropical Smoothie Cafe, not just to herald the start of summer, but also to support a great cause.

Over the years, this day has helped raise millions of dollars for Camp Sunshine, a retreat in Casco, Maine, that supports children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
